Column A: Public library
Brookline Public Library
The mission of the Public Library of Brookline is to provide access to recorded knowledge and information to all the people of Brookline. The Library will seek to instill in children a love of reading and an appreciation of the library's resources. It will also build and maintain collections of print and non-print materials and provide electronic access to information in order to meet the intellectual and recreational needs of all populations of the community in the most cost-effective manner.

Column B: Local historical society
Westport Historical Society
“The mission of the Westport Historical Society is to engage the public in the exploration of the town’s rich history and culture, to inspire a spirit of discovery through educational programs and encourage active participation in the preservation and interpretation of our past. The Society collects and shares this history. Column C: Historic house museum
The Mount -- Edith Wharton’s Home
The Mount is a National Historic Landmark and cultural center that celebrates the intellectual, artistic, and humanitarian legacy of Edith Wharton.

We engage a diverse audience by providing context to Wharton’s life and achievements through our educational and public programs and the conservation and preservation of her historic estate and gardens.
